Steel in the Air recently completed a workshop for a major metropolitan city regarding its small call policy. The City had been contacted by one Big Four wireless carriers, and multiple third party management companies, all of whom wanted a share of the City’s revenue in exchange for “managing” its small cell builds. In reviewing the proposal that the WSP made to the City, it was clear that all parties, including the City, were treating the proposal just as they would a traditional macrocell/ tower proposal.
