T-Mobile announced on May 28th, 2024 that it will acquire a substantial part of US Cellular. While the merger still has to be approved by the department of justice and FCC, here’s what it will look like once approved.


TMO acquires all of USC


TMO acquires 30% of USC spectrum-mainly complimentary spectrum to its own holdings.


USC retains ownership of 100% of~4400 towers.


TMO agrees to 15-year master lease on 2,600 towers or 60% of total US Cellular owned towers.
