CELL TOWER MAPPING

Steel in the Air provides custom GIS (Geographical Information Systems) mapping for the cell tower industry. We utilize maps such as the ones you see below to review potential tower acquisitions, new tower site locations, and to assist our clients with their cell tower lease questions. Please click on the pictures below to see full page versions of the maps. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to fully view them. Contact us for more details.

Aerial Map

This map allows the viewer to see the aerial view of the subject site. The scale of all maps provided can be adjusted to suit the needs of the user.

Competing Tower Locations.

Steel in the Air maintains its own cell tower location database in three parts. 1. A proprietary competing tower database which consists of 65,000 cell towers nationwide. 2. FCC Antenna Structure Registrations. 3. FAA Obstructions. A spreadsheet with all data on these sites would be attached.

Population Density Map.

This thematic map shows the population density (population per square mile) for a cell tower location outside. It is also possible to show daytime population density- which may be a better indicator of need for a cell tower.

Median Household Income with Traffic Count Map.

This is a thematic map which shows by color the median household income (red: higher, blue: lower) with the traffic count information inserted. It allows the viewer to see the demographic make up of the area near the subject tower.
